Kid’s Works-School for the Arts

Welcome to Kid’s Works-School for the Arts

Children express themselves naturally through the Arts (visual, music, drama and creative movement). Kid’s Works-School for the Arts believes that the artistic or creative spirit within each child will emerge given time, support, the opportunity to interact with creative materials and freedom from the imposition of adult standards. To enhance an understanding and appreciation for creativity and aesthetics, children must be exposed to all facets of creative development and be allowed to explore their environment through their imagination. Research continues to show that by introducing children to the visual and performing arts, they will be more likely to develop the necessary critical thinking and communication skills for a lifetime of learning.

At Kid’s Works-School for the Arts we follow the teaching methods of Italy’s Reggio Emilia’s “Project Approach to Learning”. Its early childhood system is considered to be one of the premier programs in Europe.
Some key features of their approach include:
✽ Encouraging children’s spontaneity and imagination.
✽ Challenging children with large and extensive projects
✽ Teaching children age-appropriate technical skills
With technical confidence comes creative freedom!
✽ Emphasizing collaborative learning, communication and
group problem solving among children and adults.

Kid’s Works-School for the Arts enriched programs promote creative, concrete learning experiences. All materials and learning tools have been carefully selected to encourage imagination and creativity.
